Shedding

Perhaps one of the hardest things in personal development is the shedding process. It’s when you have changed and must let go of the past.

The past is all those things you’ve gotten accustomed to as being part of who you are. But they’re no longer serving you. And you no longer vibe with them, internally.

Shedding is painful because you are letting go of parts of your identity. Parts you believed they were always going to be there with you.

But they’re no longer able to make the journey alongside you.

I used to have another blog, you know. I was so involved with writing articles for that site.

But I let it go. I shut it off. It’s gone.

It was no longer vibing with who I was becoming and with where I was going.

As a person, we change. We evolve. We adapt. We grow out of things, places, situations. Out of people.

And it’s sad, sometimes, to notice something or someone that was always there … gone.

Maybe we take things for granted much too often.

Just food for thought.
