How To Compress Audio In Camtasia
Audio compression in Camtasia has never been easier!
The video is a quick tutorial on how to use Camtasia and compress your audio track.
Compress Camtasia Audio Tracks
Step 1 – Audio Effects – Audio Compression
From Camtasia’s left-hand side menu, go to Audio Effects.
Under Audio Effects, you will find Audio Compression.
Step 2 – Drag Audio Compression Onto A Camtasia Audio Track
Just drag and drop Audio Compression onto an existing audio track in the Camtasia timeline.
Before dropping the compression effect, you will see the audio waveform change its shape.
This shows you the level of compression being applied.
Step 3 – Choose Compression Level (Volume Variations)
With the audio track selected, choose the righth Volume Variation level, from the right-hand side menu.
You can choose from Low, Medium, High or Custom.
Usually, a good setting is Medium.
Use your ear to hear what’s best for the quality of your recording.
To get good sounding quality though, you might have to add Noise Reduction.
It’s best to do that before applying audio compression in Camtasia.
