yt-dlp is a command line program you can use to download YouTube videos.
You can download YouTube clips as videos or convert them to mp3’s.
As yt-dlp runs from the command line, it has a lot of parameters to configure its functionality.
But that shouldn’t scare you.
There is a way to use it in a user-friendly way.
But first, let’s install it.
Visit yt-dlp on GitHub
Scroll down just a bit to find the Releases section
Click on yt-dlp 2024.05.27 (the date migh change as new releases are published).
A new page opens.
Scroll a bit and you’ll find yt-dlp.exe
Click on it. A save dialog appears.
Select a folder you will use to download your videos.
Click Save once you’ve selected a working folder that works for you.
