I’m considering opening a new site and I’m trying to figure out if I should do it or not.
On one hand, this site (Reality Frameworks) is my playground and could easily accommodate the topic I want to write about.
But Reality Frameworks is more experimental in nature.
It’s not designed to fit a particular niche.
Instead, it’s designed to map my thinking processes and to reflect where my attention is going or where it wants to go.
This site would be a separate, well-defined home for a particular area of interest of mine.
The problem is that I’m going to split my focus again.
I already feel pulled in too many directions and I’m not sure if I want to allow that or not.
I’m trying to prevent myself from feeling the disappointment of not following through with the idea.
But, until then, I can still write the articles I want to write.
They just won’t be public, yet.
And maybe I can prepare some of videos I’ve recorded and finish editing them.
I just want compartmentalize that area of interest.
To give it a box of its own.
From what I’ve read, defining your niche is very good in the eyes of mighty Google.
I just want to make sure it’s worth it to pay the extra 12-14 bucks a year for the extra domain.
I want to make sure I’m going to work on it, or else it might not be worth the effort.
Well, until then, it’s alive as a subdomain.
